About the Artist
T.M. Azis, originally from Kerala, is an artist renowned for his portrayal of human figures interacting with elements within his paintings. A graduate of the Trivandrum Art College, Azis furthered his studies at Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi. He held his first solo exhibition in the late 1980s and has since participated in numerous solo and group shows across cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi, as well as various art camps nationwide. His works often feature figures or objects acting as symbols, creating allegories that reflect his personal interpretations. Azis captures seemingly ordinary moments, offering a deeper perspective on human behavior and revealing a world beyond the visible—one that exists within our minds. Azis currently resides and works in Bangalore.
