About the Artist
Born in Kerela, Baiju Parthan began his career as an engineer and grew interested in art after he came across a book on Western art history. He describes himself as an 'intermedia' artist. Parthan was an early exponent of new media art in the Indian contemporary art scene. He has participated in several exhibitions including 'Dislocation: Milljunction Part 2' in 2011 at Aicon Gallery, London, and 'Milljunction: Paintings and Photo-works' in 2010 at Aicon Gallery, New York. The artist lives and works in Mumbai.
