About the Artist
Born in Calcutta, Mullick graduated in 1981 in Fine Arts from the Govt. College of Arts & Crafts, Calcutta. In 1982, he was awarded the Cultural Scholarship by the Government of India.His paintings include a strong focus on women and the contradictions they face. The artist has carved out a niche for himself with his juxtaposition of real and unreal imagery infusing his canvasses with bold, vibrant imagination and energy. He has held several solo shows and group exhibitions in India, France, New York, Japan and Singapore to name a few. His works are in the collection of several art connoisseurs in India and abroad.
