With a fascination for figurative surrealism and a bent towards the 'dark art style', Meghna Rao's paintings depict the darker side of human emotions through her artwork & literature. The main medium being oil-paints on canvas; she also experiments with acrylic and pen. Her love to express the intrigue in the dichotomy of life where joy & sorrow or love & necessity ironically go together, is artistically exhibited in her work. These emotions are beautifully captured in her paintings and poetry. Meghna Rao's monochrome theme is highlighted by elements of colour to depict beauty & joy, against the contrast of solitude & sorrow.
