About the Artist
Born in 1973 in Kaliyaganj, North Bengal, Bikash is a gold medalist from the Govt. College of Art & Craft, Kolkata. Starting off in the advertising world, he turned to painting full time in the nineties after successful shows of his watercolours in the Indian metros. His works are abstract and he uses acrylic and watercolour as his medium. He is one of the best known landscape painters from Bengal. His landscapes blend Indian miniature art with the flow of colour from Chinese and Japanese art. Bikash has 18 solo shows to his credit and has participated in several group shows.
