About the Artist
Amit Kalla was born in 1980 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He completed his Masters in Art and Aesthetics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and studied Art History from the National Museum Institute, specialising in ancient Indian art (Iconography). For Kalla, art necessitates aesthetics, sublimity, and consciousness. Aesthetics represents the philosophical aspect of art, and he believes that adopting a philosophical mindset is essential. This means continually inquiring about oneself and the world. He also considers imagination a crucial component of art.
