About the Artist
Thukral and Tagra, a Delhi-based artist duo consisting of Jiten Thukral and Sumir Tagra, engage in multifaceted artistic practices including painting, gaming, archiving, and publishing. Initially focused on global consumer culture, their recent work explores ecological issues and climate change, inspired by their family histories of migration and farming in Punjab. Beyond their studio practice, they create innovative public engagement formats, such as their non-profit Foundation, which addresses social issues through art and education, and Pollinator, a collaborative learning lab. Their immersive, multi-sensory installations aim to break down barriers of "high art," making their work accessible to diverse audiences. Their collaborations and commissions include notable projects with brands like Pepsi, Absolut, ETRO, and Apple, along with residencies at institutions like STPI, Meissen Porcelain, and ccSPORTcamp, among others.
