About the Artist
Born in 1986, Arijoy Bhattacharya is an artist based in New Delhi, India. He completed his BFA in painting from College of Art, New Delhi in 2009, and studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (S.M.F.A.), Boston till 2010. Bhattacharya is inspired by a wide range of topics, from continental philosophy to Indian metaphysical traditions. Especially drawn toward the many facts of Hinduism, the artist is known to imbue a tantric aspect to his art, seen in his recent show ‘Aghora Tech’ at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.
