About the Artist
Born in Tamil Nadu, Elanchezhiyan did his BFA and MFA in Sculpture from the Govt. College of Fine Arts, Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu, after which he completed his M Phil) in Sculpture in 2009 - 2010 from the Tamil University, Thanjavur. His output is prodigious and impeccable, and he has exhibited solo and many group shows, Elanchezhiyan has received very many awards and accolades, some among them being – Brad fest award of Bharathidasan University, 2004; National Scholarship2005-2007, Ministry of Culture , New Delhi; All India Best Sculpture Award Arayana 2008, Kolkata and College of fine Arts, Tanjore; and National Junior Fellowship 2010-2012, Ministry of Culture, New Delhi. He has participated.
