Debnath Basu was born in 1961 West Bengal. The artist received his Bachelor and Master of Visual Arts in Printmaking from Rabindra Bharati University in 1987 and 1989 respectively. Basu’s art is influenced by the myriad of local Bengali art and culture that surrounded him during his university days.
