About the Artist
Subrata Kundu, born in Kolkata in 1969, earned his BVA from the Government College of Art & Craft in 1986 and completed his MFA in New Delhi in 1989. His works embodied a postmodern sensibility, expressing his frustration with urban challenges such as overcrowding and the decline of fundamental values. Subrata Kundu passed away on September 5, 2010.
