About Artist
Born in 1987 in the village of Orai, Uttar Pradesh, Chandan Agarwal began his creative journey at the College of Arts & Crafts in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh from where he earned both a Bachelor and a Master of Visual Arts degree. He received the prestigious National Award from Lalit Kala Academy in 2015. He has exhibited his work in various cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Baroda, Lucknow, and Orai. His paintings often depict both animate and inanimate objects, emphasising the positive energy and vibrant colours of nature. The artist believes that while not all images qualify as art, all forms of art are based on imagery. He views the challenge of translating the energetic impact of different forms onto the canvas as a pursuit that true artists embrace. Chandan believes that abstract art should be shared and expressed beyond the confines of the mind.Artwork
