About the Artist
A third-year BFA student at Anitoons School of Art and Animation, Sarthak Kumar finds his voice in the fluid poetry of watercolour. His paintings privilege atmosphere over intricate detail, allowing expanses of light, sky, and open fields to evoke a quiet sense of calm and spatial freedom. Transparent washes dissolve into textured strokes, gently suggesting trees, houses, and mirrored reflections through minimal yet assured gestures. Balancing structure with abstraction, Sarthak creates compositions that feel both grounded and ethereal. His works invite the viewer to slow down — to linger within the simplicity and serenity of everyday countryside moments, where stillness itself becomes the subject.
