About the Artist
Born in Kerala in 1963, Bose completed his BFA from Sir J.J School of Art, Mumbai and his MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London. Bose has shown extensively throughout India and the world, and is a founder member and president of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale. Bose's art combines conceptual depth with a strong emphasis on form, blending Western techniques with native elements to create a contemporary style. His use of color, influenced by Indian ceremonies and rituals, adds vibrancy, while a minimalist approach ensures clarity and impact. His work reflects a contemporary understanding of culture, effortlessly drawing from various disciplines like literature and design spanning different eras.
