Kiyomi Talaulicar born in 1965, is an artist blending figurative and abstract expressions. She is a gold medalist from Sir J.J. School of Art (BFA, 1986). The artist has earned her MFA from East Carolina University (1993), receiving awards like the Gravely Foundation Scholarship and the Liquitex Excellence in Art Award. Talaulicar’s work has garnered Juror’s Awards across multiple U.S. states. Notably, she received the Jerome Foundation/Women's Art Registry of Minnesota Scholarship (2001-02). Her exhibitions span globally, and her work has been featured in films. Talaulicar's work style reflects her deep engagement with both Indian and international artistic contexts. Talaulicar has exhibited her work in prominent galleries and cities across the globe, holding solo exhibitions such as The Avid Gaze at Chemould Prescott Road, Mumbai (2008), The Past Was Yesterday at The Arts House, Singapore (2014), and Unlocking Stillness at Gallery Art Motif, New Delhi (2017). She has participated in major art fairs, including ArtDubai (2008, 2009) and India Art Fair (2009, 2011, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2020). Her work has also featured in curated group exhibitions at renowned venues like the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai, Gallery Espace, New Delhi, and international platforms in Singapore and the United States.
