About the Artist
Raghu Kondur, born in Bengaluru, Karnataka, has a BFA in Painting from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in 2004 and his MVA in Painting from Bangalore University in 2015. He has had a solo exhibition titled ‘Working on the Edge’ at 1Shanthiroad Studio, Bengaluru (2011). Raghu has been honored with the Karnataka Lalit Kala Akademi State Award (2016) and is also a recipient of the Robert Bosch Art Grant (2010). He has participated in numerous regional and national art camps and workshops, and his work has been featured in various group exhibitions, including ‘Speaking in Shadows’ at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru (2022), ‘Realm of Nature’ at ArtHouz, Bengaluru (2021), ‘Distant yet Connected’ at the Korean Art Fair in Busan, South Korea (2020), and ‘A Paradigm Shift’ at Gallery Time & Space, Bengaluru (2020). Other notable exhibitions include ‘Duality in Co-existence’ at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi (2017), ‘Nirbhaya’ in New Delhi (2014), ‘Urbanscapes’ at Gallerie De Arts, Bengaluru (2014), and ‘United Art Fair’ at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi (2013). Raghu has also participated in public art installations and international exhibitions, including ‘POST IT’ at Gallery Rostrum, Sweden (2010). He continues to live and work in Bengaluru.
