About the Artist
Born in 1982, in Andhra Pradesh, Srinivasa was always fascinated by the intricate patterns and carvings in ancient temples. After completing a four year diploma course in Traditional Sculpture and Architecture from SVITSA in Tirupati with specialization in wood carving, he pursued a Masters degree in Sculpture at the Sarojini Naidu School of Fine Arts, Hyderabad. Inspired by traditions and beliefs, Srinivasa's sculptures are a unique combination of traditional figures and animal bodies, merging myth and fantasy. Srinivasa’s works were featured in India Art Fair, New Delhi presented by Kalakriti Art Gallery, Hyderabad in 2012. Apart from this, his works were featured in several group exhibitions.
