About Artist
Born in 1981 in a small village in the Solapur district of Maharashtra, Sachin Sagare completed a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from Dalvis Art Institute in Kolhapur in 2001 and later received a Diploma in Applied Arts from Abhinav Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, in 2004. In 2005, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his artistic career. During his early years in Mumbai, he worked as a storyboarding artist and assistant director in the film industry. However, his true passion for painting led him to leave the film world in 2011 to become a full-time artist. His artworks highlight the significant role women play in shaping societal values and culture. Sachin’s work serves as an homage to the women who have influenced and inspired him throughout his life. Sachin’s works have been exhibited in numerous solo exhibitions, including at Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai (2008, 2012), Artist Center in Mumbai (2010), and Sahil Art Gallery in Mumbai (2008). He has also participated in group shows such as those at Samsara Art Gallery in Mumbai (2008) and Karishma Art Gallery in Pune (2004). His early recognition included winning a landscape competition from Path Jambhalikar in 2002.Artwork
