Marissa D is a multi-disciplinary contemporary artist with a keen interest in craft methodologies. Her art practice transforms urban consumer waste into sculpturesque art. She is inspired by heritage craft from all over the world and creates mixed media tapestries. Each piece is textured, a 100% hand-crafted and a study in crafts(wo)man-ship. Her work exudes an aesthetic that is rooted in the past yet embodies the future. She is lives and works in Bengaluru.
