About the Artist
Sarika Poornanand earned her B.F.A. degree from the College of Art, New Delhi, and was awarded the prestigious SPIC MACAY Gurukul Scholarship in 2001, where she trained under renowned artist Anjolie Ela Menon. Her artistic career includes several notable solo exhibitions, such as at Artwalk, Trident, Mumbai (2016), Artists Centre, Mumbai (2015), Kashi Art Cafe, Fort Kochi (2007), and Triveni Art Gallery, New Delhi (2003). In addition to her work as an artist, Sarika has extensive experience in art education, having taught at Doon International School and Scholar’s Home in Dehradun, as well as Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai. Beyond visual arts, she is also passionate about theatre and has contributed to set design and production for plays in Dehradun. Sarika Poornanand currently lives and works in Mumbai.
