Born in 1978 in West Bengal, Prasad holds a Bachelor’s degree from I.K.S. University, Chhattisgarh and a Master’s degree from S.N. School of Fine Arts, University of Hyderabad. His work has been showcased in several solo and group exhibitions across India, in galleries such as Tao Art Gallery, Osmosis Gallery, GalleryEspace, Gallery Beyond and Rabindra Bhavan, Lalit Kala Akademi.
Prasad’s surreal compositions feature monkeys, anthropomorphic furniture, and cross-sections of fruits with bizarre interiors, set against dismal, monochromatic skies. The muted colours and eerie mood reflect Prasad’s concerns about environmental degradation and the struggles of urban life.
