About the Artist
Bhavani GS is a Bangalore based artist known for her ecologically conscious depictions of nature. She holds a Master's degree in Visual Arts from Chitra kala Parishat, Bengaluru. The artist has been to several residencies in India, Sri Lanka, Germany, Lithuania, Vietnam and is recipient of selected grants and awards. Bhavani is fascinated by the forest of the Western Ghats as well as the jungles of Kodagu, and attempts to replicate the energies of nature through her paintings. She believes that nature, which is constantly within the cycle of life and death, can be given a new life through paintings.
