About the Artist
Srinivas Rao, a native of Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh, comes from a family with a rich legacy as custodians of the traditional Kalamkari art form for generations. Renowned for his skill, he crafts his own woodcut blocks to create intricate and expressive artworks. In recognition of his talent, Srinivas was honored with the State Award in 1996.
