Sharma completed his Master’s degree in Fine Arts from M. S. University, Baroda in 1978. The artist is most known for his interpretation of landscapes, his works often referred to as powerful yet abundant with grace. Sharma is the recipient of several awards and accolades, his most significant being Senior Art Fellowship in Painting by the Government of India in 1999. Sharma has also organized over 100 art camps.
