V.Hariraam was born in Alwaye, Kerela. He pursued a degree in Economics from the University of Mysore in 1974. He then received a Diploma in Fine Arts [Painting] from the Kalamandir School of Art, Bangalore in 1980. Hariraam specialized in Printmaking at the Regional Centre Lalit Kala Akademiand then in non-toxic materials and methods of Printmaking in New Mexico. The artist lived and served as the Secretary for Progressive Painters Association, Cholamandal Artist's Village, Chennai from 1990-95. Some of his major National and International participation are, the, 99th Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Federation of British Artists, The Mall Galleries, London 1982 13th The South Eastern & International Federation of Art Societies, Guild Hall Art Gallery, London 1982, National Exhibition of Art, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi 1983-94, 16th International Independent Exhibition of Prints in Kanagawa, Japan 1990, OnzeMini-Print Internacional de Cadaques, Spain 1990,5th International Biennial Print Exhibit, ROC, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Taiwan. Presently he lives and works in Chennai & Mumbai in India.Artwork
