About Artist
Born in 1967 in New Delhi, Rajnish Kaur completed her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (Painting) from the College of Art, New Delhi, in 1988, followed by a Master's degree in 1991. In 2002, she received a Post Graduate Diploma from the Chelsea College of Art, London. Kaur's solo exhibitions include ‘Untitled’ at Bodhi Art, Mumbai (2006-07); ‘Woven Memoirs’ at Gallery Sumukha, Bangalore (2004); and shows at Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi, and Art Inc., New Delhi. Her work has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including ‘Unclaimed Spaces’ at Gallery Threshold, New Delhi (2009-10); ‘Progressive to Altermodern: 62 Years of Indian Modern Art’ at Grosvenor Gallery, London (2009); ‘Of Personal Narratives and Journeys’ at Bodhi Art, New Delhi (2008); and ‘Paths of Progression’ in collaboration with Saffronart and Bodhi Art in New Delhi, Mumbai, New York, and Singapore (2005). She has been the recipient of prestigious awards such as the Charles Wallace Scholarship (2001-02) and the 6th Bharat Bhavan Biennale Award, Bhopal (1996). Rajnish Kaur continues to live and work in New Delhi, contributing to both national and international art spaces.Artwork
