About Artist
Mr. Joshi, a celebrated artist and educator, had his first solo show in 1990 at Mumbai's prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery, where his watercolour landscapes gained international recognition. That same year, he won the Thomas Moran Award in California, USA, honouring his exceptional nature paintings. Over a creative career spanning three decades, he has held over 15 solo exhibitions at major Mumbai venues such as Jehangir Art Gallery, Taj Art Gallery, Oberoi Art Gallery, and Nehru Center. Joshi has received numerous national and international awards, including accolades from Bharat Bhavan (India) and the International Watercolor Society (USA). He was a featured artist at the International Watercolor Society’s biennale in Turkey (2014) and ranked among the top ten winners of the Society's competition in India (2017). In addition to his painting career, Joshi is an accomplished Hindi short story writer, with four collections and a novel to his name, as well as national awards for his radio plays produced for All India Radio.
