About Artist
From her preschool days, Jyoti Thakore wanted to draw and paint. This passion continued into her college years and encouraged by her parents to pursue her dreams, she enrolled at a prestigious art school in India. After completing her Diploma in Painting from India, she held several solo and group shows in India. She moved to the United States and continued her work there. Not content with limiting herself to the medium of paint, she decided to explore working with clay. She then moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico to study Ceramics at Casa Condina under renowned ceramists such as Susana Espinosa, Jaime Suarez and Tony Hambleton. She has held solo exhibits in the USA and many group exhibits in USA and San Juan, Puerto Rico. She lives and works in Michigan, USA.Artwork
