Anupam Sud (Punjab)

Anupam Sud was born in 1944 in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. After completing her Diploma in Fine Arts from College of Art, New Delhi, Sudthen studied print-making at the Slade School, London, under a British Council scholarship. After her return, Sud developed an intense interest in the medium of etching. Sud engages with socially relevant themes, and moody depictions of interrelations between the sexes are a favorite topic in her work. She has held many solo shows all over the world, and also participated in many group exhibitions in the US, UK, Italy, Korea, Switzerland and other countries. She has won numerous national and international awards for her excellence in printmaking. The artist lives and works in Mandi, a small community on the outskirts of New Delhi.
