About Artist
One of India’s foremost contemporary artists, Dodiya earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the J. J. School of Art in 1986. While her early works are largely abstract, they now remain rooted in the figurative; she is influenced by artists of the Italian Renaissance such as Giotto and Massacio. Her work has been exhibited in major galleries in India and abroad and was displayed at the prestigious Venice Biennale in 2009. She is married to artist Atul Dodiya and lives and works in Mumbai.Artwork
